Welcome to Cloud 9 Tours Notes:

The customer is responsible for transportation to and from Oklahoma City on your "travel dates". Please let us know your arrival times before the beginning or tour#1

Arrival:

You will arrive on Saturday. For tour #1, we will meet you at the airport. Tours 2-3, we will be busy with the previous tour. If we are not at the airport, You can get a ride to the hotel with Airport Express. All costs will be reimbursed.

Tour Cost:

The cost of the two week tour is $2800. There is a non-refundable deposit of $400 required to reserve your seat. The deposit goes towards the total cost. The remaining balance is due by April 30, 2011. Payment should be made in the form of a check or money order in US funds.

What to Bring:

Please pack lightly. Room is limited to one suitcase and one carry-on-bag per person. This is needed since we will not maintain any long term motel rooms. We will be mobile in order to find the best storms and need to carry all luggage on each chase. Also less luggage allows for more comfort during the chase. Suggested items to bring are below.

4-5 days worth of clothing. Make sure it is comfortable. Bring a sweater or light jacket for first two tours since we may encounter cooler weather. A camcorder and batteries if you have one. We will provide a free highlight video, but you may want to shoot your own video. A camera for still pictures. A Walkman or portable CD with headphones in case you want to play your own music.

Our chase area:

Our chase area is extensive. Our chase territory ranges from The Mexican border to the Canadian border and from the Rockies to Indiana. Most chases will be in the southern plains, central plains, and the high plains. We typically will follow a system as it moves east day by day. For example the first chase day may be in Eastern Colorado and Western Kansas. The next chase day may be in Eastern Kansas and the third chase day in Illinois. We will go to the best target area each day. We try to keep down days to the minimum.

Non-chase days:

We try to minimize these, however there are some days when nothing happens anywhere in the Plains and Midwest. During these days we will take you to the local attractions in the area. We will also entertain you with various tornado and hurricane footage during the evening. We will also teach you the basics of storm chasing.

Video/Picture rights:

You will retain all rights to any video and pictures you shoot with Cloud 9. You don't need our permission to use them (even if we appear in the video/pictures).
