Our original target was Andrews, TX. After waiting and trying to find where there would be initiation, we finally saw some towers go up to our NE. We started to go for them, but they were very soft and hard towers were going up to our SE near Big Springs. We went for them. As we got there it got it's act together. Our only road option to get to the right side was on some dirt roads. We ended up in the core getting pounded with 2.5"+ hail. as we got gust W of Mertzon, the hail got to 3+" and blowing sideways. I lost one headlight from the hail. We made a retreat to the West. Then inched our way back east. In Metrzon, we found some 4" hail.
