Cloud 9 Tours got its start in 1996. We have had many great experiences chasing storms throughout the plains. We have been fortunate to share these first hand experiences with people from all walks of life. We experience many things including: tornadoes, supercells, hail, lightning, high winds, dust devils, damage sites left over from tornadoes and hurricanes, beautiful scenery, bizarre local attractions that most people have never heard of, and much much more. We chase storms that we feel have the possibility to produce tornadoes. If there are none, we will target the most severe or photogenic storm within reach. The goal is to find tornadoes. When we do, we try to get in the best safe position to photograph and video tape them. Tornado sightings are not guaranteed as we watch the weather and don’t create it. The reason we only offer two week long tours is to maximize the possibility of seeing some great storms. No matter the weather pattern, we manage to have fun and enjoy the travels.
